Borosilicate Vials

Industry standard 40mL and 60mL borosilicate glass VOA vials are available in both clear and amber, preassembled in convenient 72 or 100-count cases, or 144-count trays.  All VOA vials are 24/414 threaded, and securely sealed with open top polypropylene closures, including a non-bonded 0.125” thick PTFE/silicone Ultra Low Bleed septum.  Our Ultra Low Bleed septa are rigorously tested for trace level volatile organic compounds before the final product assembly process. The finished vials can be used with reliability in most all automated purge & trap instruments.

VOA vials, closures and septa are carefully cleaned according to the EPA “Specifications and Guidance for Contaminant-Free Sample Containers” to ensure a measurement of non-detect for purgeable volatile organic compounds.  Batches are prepared in small lots, and then analyzed for trace level purgeable organics down to the drinking water DLR (detection limits for purposes of reporting) standards, prior to being released for sale.

All cases of VOA vials will be traceable by a specific lot number. We will not release cleaned cases of VOA vials until Analysis QC Containers from that lot have been certified contaminant-free.  The laboratory data package from every lot of containers cleaned by Sample Traps is available for client review through our website data packages search bar.  Upon being cleared for release, VOA inventory is lot-labeled, shrink wrapped, and carefully stored in a positive pressurized, HEPA filtered room, until the order fulfillment process.
