Polyethylene Vessels
Plastic containers are preferred for a variety of sampling applications, most commonly for general inorganics and elemental protocols. Sample Traps provides a wide variety of shapes and sizes of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) containers. Sizes include, but are not limited to, 4oz (125mL) 8oz (250mL) 16oz (500mL) 32oz (1L) 64oz (2L) and 128oz (4L) volumes. Products include a variety of neck finishes, but most commonly feature “Widemouth” openings of at least 38mm for easier field sample collection. These vessels are typically natural (opaque) in finish, although certain sizes are available in dark brown for light-sensitive applications. All plastic vessels are preassembled with foam-lined polypropylene closures.
Most containers and closures are thoroughly cleaned according to the EPA specifications and guidance, and then analyzed for various elemental and inorganic compounds. Sample Traps also offers all sizes of HPDE non-cleaned containers for client specific applications. All cleaned products, and certain non-cleaned as well, are analyzed for both trace level metals and inorganic parameters down to the EPA SW846 detection limit standards.
A list of these metals, general inorganics and their corresponding reporting limits can be accessed here.
Cases of cleaned poly vessels (and selected non-cleaned containers) will be traceable by a specific lot number. We will not release data-backed cases until Analysis QC Containers from that lot have been certified with laboratory data. The data package from every lot of containers produced by Sample Traps is available for client review through our data packages search bar. Upon being cleared for release, our poly inventory is carefully cased, custody sealed and lot labeled for order fulfillment.
